While Johnny was selling his art to hundreds of Christians, he collected the stories of people in various walks of life who would tell him what God was doing in their lives. Johnny was in the middle of writing these stories when he died suddenly at age 86 in a dramatic fashion. Easter morning became his resurrection, as he never woke up, having suffered an acute subdural hematoma.
