It’s all about family!
After visiting Zanzibar in 2007, I was able to visit and see all of our family homes, palaces and fort. It was for this reason, I felt obligated to have my great-great grandmothers memoirs republished. I feel that this republication will keep the Said-Ruete family history alive and up to date. While in Zanzibar, with my friends, I was greeted and welcomed back by the people with open arms. May this book go out into the world, and may it meet as many friends as it has been my good fortune for myself.
