The Sorrow Exchange provides Christian advice for the aging parent experience, arming the reader with a detachable prayer card for easy deployment for the journey. As you pray for your loved one, be encouraged! Through prayer, you are doing a mighty work on your parent’s behalf, as you bear witness to the peace and comfort God bestows upon all of us. The Sorrow Exchange will bless you and your aging parent beyond your wildest imagination!
Behold I am doing a new thing, now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?
I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.—Isaiah 43:19
Author
Julie Miller’s classical, Christian school teaching experience compels her to share her confidence in God’s faithfulness with others. Julie entered the season of caring for her aging parents with one conviction: The Lord would surely give her direction. Through prayer’s Christian affirmation, Julie exchanged a wilderness of sorrow and uncertainty for God’s intimate care and faithfulness. She created The Sorrow Exchange as a resource to help adult children learn from her experience and better care for their aging parents through prayer.
Julie and her husband, John, have three adult children and reside in Dallas, Texas. The Sorrow Exchange is Julie’s first book.
