Rev. Dr. Wright is a native of the State of Texas and he and his wife, Billye, reside in Dallas. They are the parents of three children and six grandchildren. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Paul Quinn College and a Master of Education in Public School Administration from Prairie View A & M University. Reverend Wright was the pastor of St. Paul AME in Dallas. He served as Presiding Elder of the Greater Dallas District for nine years. He also served as the treasurer of the Tenth Episcopal District under the leadership of three Bishops. Reverend Wright holds an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from Paul Quinn College.
